I asked if you’d like to know more about the pets I paint and you said YES! So here goes!

Cooper is 11 years old! He loves taking walks, playing fetch with his favorite tennis ball and taking car rides to the bank and to get the mail. He’s sweet with kids and very attached to the adults in his life. He is nearing the end of his adventure in life but still brings so much love to his whole family.

Cooper’s portrait was commissioned as a gift for his owners. I’m honored to have been able to hone my craft on such a stately hound, and hopefully bring his owners some joy.

Cooper is a Beagle. According to the American Kennel Club, “Beagles are scent hounds used primarily for hunting rabbits to larger hares. The Beagle was recognized by the AKC in 1885 along with 14 other breeds.”
