Minneapolis native Britt Bakke is a watercolor artist known for her custom watercolor portraits. In her youth, Britt fell in love with art and design and immersed herself in all things creative from art club to marching band. She earned dual degrees in Communication and Flute Performance at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN. She went on to get an introduction to graphic design with creative agency Jiva Creative, and later studied art and design at the University of Minnesota. Britt is constantly refining her eye for color and texture. With her current work she hopes to bring warmth to indoor spaces with a custom painting personal to each patron. Britt paints full-time in her Golden Valley, MN studio using a unique blend of watercolor paints. Her work can be found across the US and abroad. In addition to her work with Britt Bakke Studio, Britt is an active member on the board of the Minnesota Watercolor Society.
